We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Events Specialist to join our Communications team in Langley, BC. Reporting to the Manager, Events and Recognition , you will be responsible for supporting, planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of large-scale corporate events, typically hosting between 100 to 500+ attendees. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day logistics, ensure seamless execution from conception to completion, and contribute to creating engaging and memorable experiences for all attendees.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events such as conferences, business meetings, annual general meetings, golf tournaments, and galas.
- Leading and participating in all aspects of event execution, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and on-site logistics.
- Coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Providing administrative and project management support, including maintaining critical paths, managing travel and accommodation logistics, coordinating transportation, supporting on-site operations, and maintaining event databases.
- Collaborating with team members to refine processes and approaches that enhance efficiency, innovation, and engagement.
- Making continuous improvements to key processes, techniques, and procedures related to event execution.
- Staying current with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and excellence in event planning.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
You have:
- A diploma or degree in business, marketing, communications, hospitality management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- The ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel as needed, including internationally.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required.

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
