We are looking to hire an experienced, mathematically and mechanically adept, and physically dexterous CNC Punch Operator—to operate, and maintain the Trumpf punch press machinery, from layout to final finished product quality checks, and routine follow-up maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviewing drawings, instructions and samples to understand the exact specifications required for production
- Selecting, building, aligning, and loading tooling into the machine—according to program and material specifications
- Monitoring the production process, and adjusting feed and other settings as necessary
- Examining finished products to confirm that the quality results align with the design stipulations
- Checking material output to consistently match inputs
- Conferring with Engineering, Supervisory, and Manufacturing personnel to exchange the technical information needed to plan for upcoming jobs
- Planning shifts according to the production schedule to verify the accurate number of jobs completed
- Performing routine maintenance of the punch press machine, e.g., after a production run
- Cleaning and lubricating tools as required
- Identifying the need for machine servicing, and performing regular maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintaining a safe and clean workstation
- Contributing to the overall team effort, by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Qualifications Required
- Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
- Minimum three-to-five years’ experience using Trumpf Punch Press Machines, is preferred
- Capable and comfortable using precision tools for taking accurate measurements, e.g., calipers, micrometers, verniers, and so on
- Substantial interpersonal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge and of—and compliance with—established safety protocols
- Basic computer literacy; attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and a keen overall mechanical ability.
