One full-time family physician is required to take over an existing practice with a patient panel of 1700 in beautiful Port Alberni. The current physician is planning on retirement but is happy to stay on through the transition. This bright, modern clinic uses MedAccess EMR. There are 2 experienced and friendly Medical Office Assistants. This practice is a part of a larger group of independently working physicians who cover each other during vacation times.

There is also the opportunity to work in obstetrics, as a hospitalist, and in the emergency room at the nearby West Coast General Hospital. Port Alberni has a new Primary Care Network that offers additional support to area clinics that participate, including nurse in practice and a visiting pharmacist.

BENEFITS

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

  • Recruitment Incentive: $10,000 (full-time)
  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement: up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
  • Fee Premium: 7.98%
  • Annual Flat Fee: $12,366.72
  • Rural CME: starting at $2,200.00/annum in year 3 & 4 to a maximum of $4,400.00/annum after 4 years.
