About the role

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring that accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal departments.

Duties

  • Process and record incoming payments accurately using accounting software.
  • Manage accounts receivable ledger by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure all payments are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection efforts as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Negotiate payment terms with clients when necessary to facilitate timely collections.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to billing and payment issues.
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Zoho Books or similar accounting software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and principles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills to facilitate payment arrangements with clients.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 40 per week
