Operations Manager – Toronto Kidz Summer Camp

At Toronto Kidz, we celebrate the unique diversity and individual interests of children. Located in the vibrant city of Toronto, we strive to cultivate open-minded, globally aware youngsters. Our carefully crafted programs embrace each child’s uniqueness, fostering teamwork, friendship and responsibility. Led by experienced and qualified staff, we provide an engaging environment for kids to discover and learn, sparking their curiosity and supporting their continuous growth.
We run year-round, offering programming for P.A. Days, winter/March Break, and summer camp. Currently, we have 11 locations throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and are continuing to grow! We welcome campers between the ages of 5-12 years old and are dedicated to nurturing a fun and dynamic learning experience each summer! For our younger campers, our multi-activity camp features exciting weekly themes like Dinosaurs, Pirates, Space, and more. ABOUT THE ROLE
This year, our summer camp will run from June 30th to August 22nd, 2025. We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to commit full-time from June 16th to August 22nd, 2025.
The Operations Manager will support the camp and its Camp Directors and Area Managers with customer service, client communications, and administrative and operational support.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service:
- answering client inquiries by email and phone (changes, cancellations, questions)
- Processing cancellations, refunds and credits in our reservation system (Campbrain)
- Filling open spots with waitlisted campers
- Manage unpaid balances
- Reminders for parents to fill out forms, etc.
- Updating availability on the website
Camp Operations:
- Communication liaison between parents and location managers via text, WhatsApp, phone and email
- Creating and sending out weekly logistics emails to parents
- Creating and weekly attendance lists, emergency contact list, birthday lists, etc.
- Creating Special needs camper profiles
- Tracking of buses on field trip days
Administrative tasks:
- Pulling different types of reports from Campbrain as needed
- Create envelopes for birthday cards and organize them by weeks
- Reviewing and sorting pictures taken for parents daily
- Support team in printing documents and create binders for the summer
- Support team in getting general supplies ready for the summer
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (REQUIREMENTS):
- Available and committed to working full-time in-person, Monday to Friday, from June 16 - August 22, 2025.
- Able to reliably commute to our camp locations: 16 Baby Point Road, 4 Morningside Avenue, or 156 Roncesvalles Avenue.
- Complete a valid and recent Vulnerable Sector Police Check (not older than 6 months) at your own expense prior to the start of employment.
- Previous experience working in a team environment is mandatory.
- Previous experience working at a summer camp is an asset.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills; friendly, personable and flexible.
- Strong sense of customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills and very detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in Excel.
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve quickly in various situations.
- Maintains professionalism towards all parents and co-workers.
- Strong sense of ownership over their role and tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 weeks
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42.5 per week
Schedule:
