About the role
We are looking for an occupational health and safety advisor who will report to the OHS team leader in the Engineering team and who’ll be tasked with helping us develop and implement best OHS practices. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly contributing to the achievement of the organization's OHS objectives. You’ll Have The Opportunity To
- Act as a strategic business partner in OHS within the product development team with a prime focus on electric vehicles development.
- Advise and support teams in developing and establishing OHS best practices.
- Participate in planning safety activities and in the daily implementation of the OHS program.
- Establish efficient work methods that also reduce OHS risks.
- Participate in the definition of vehicle testing methods.
- Collaborate daily with a dynamic team who is continuously pushing the limits.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Recognized safety-related discipline diploma and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- A rigorous approach and a good sense of initiative and analysis.
- Good management of priorities and ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a constantly changing environment.
- Determination to manage projects and achieve objectives.
- Good mastery of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google suite.
- Health and safety certificate, an asset.
- Bilingualism essential, both spoken and written - English is an asset for this position as you will be representing BRP to non-French speaking suppliers.
- Technical mechanical or electrical knowledge, an asset.
