Job Description
The Electrification BIM Modeler will be a key member of the design team, focusing on the Greenhouse Gas systems, EV charging facility, and PV systems. This includes 2D drafting and 3D modeling of electrification systems for EV Charging Stations, and GHG reduction systems including fleets, clean energy sources and battery systems.
Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate 3D BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D in collaboration with ACC workshared environment.

3D Modeling of charging stations, bollards, cable routing, power cabinets, transformers, rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems including solar arrays, inverters, cable trays, conduits, connection points, racking, electrical components and cable trays.

2D Drafting of Schematics & Single-Line Diagrams, conduit routing, power cabinets, and trench layouts, Annotations & Legends per specifications and standards with descent knowledge of Sheet Composition.

Collaborate with the Environmental, Sustainability and Electrification Lead and engineers to ensure models adhere to design specifications.

Produce design-development, Issued-for-Permit and Issue-For-Construction schematics, models, drawings, details and schedules.

Perform interdisciplinary and interface design coordination and clash detection using Navisworks with ACC model coordination interoperability.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date models reflecting the phased construction and turnover of geometrical and non-geometrical asset data.
Qualifications
-
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrification BIM modeling, preferably in Aviation, Highways and Roads, Rail and Transit, Bridges and Tunnels, Ports and Harbours.

Proficient in software, plugins, and cloud-based platforms including Revit MEP, HelioScope, PV*SOL, PVSyst, Aurora Solar, Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience with MicroStation and Civil 3D is an asset.

Demonstrated experience in 3D modeling and 2D Drafting of charging stations, bollards, cable routing, power cabinets, transformers, rooftop andground-mounted PV systems including racking, electrical components, cable trays, and conduit paths.

Skilled in producing panel layouts, array configurations, and equipment schedules in Revit.

Experienced in integrating site survey/topographic data and generating exportable sheets for permits and construction.

Familiar with accessibility and clearance requirements for charger placement.

Familiar with shading analysis and energy yield simulations using industry-standard tools.

Familiarity with Canadian codes and standards including ICAO Annex 14, IES RP-37, CSA C22.1 (CE Code), CSA C61215 (PV Modules), ISO 14067, OESC, CEC, local AHJ and utility interconnection guidelines, OBC, NBCC.

Detail-oriented and compliance-focused; strong understanding of solar design constraints and local regulations; collaborative in multi-disciplinary teams; proactive in optimizing layout and performance with energy modeling insights
