About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join the Capital Markets CRM team at one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. This is a key role responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting Salesforce CRM solutions, specifically within the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) platform. This individual will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, and technical delivery teams to ensure CRM solutions are aligned with strategic business objectives and end-user needs.

The successful candidate will bring 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis, with a strong background in Salesforce, and a deep understanding of Salesforce FSC, data migration practices, and UI/UX requirements mapping within Capital Markets or Financial Services environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Salesforce developers, architects, and product owners to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the UI/UX teams to map business needs into intuitive front-end Salesforce functionalities.
  • Conduct data analysis and support data migration strategies, including mapping, validation, and reconciliation efforts for Salesforce FSC implementations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce FSC capabilities and its application within Capital Markets.
  • Assist in defining solution design and configuration within Salesforce to meet business objectives.
  • Support testing efforts, including test plan creation, functional testing, UAT support, and defect triaging.
  • Drive process improvements and optimization initiatives to enhance CRM usage across Sales and Trading desks.
  • Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and alignment with enterprise SDLC and governance processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis or business analysis within the banking, financial services, or capital markets industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce, including at least 2 years with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC).
  • Strong experience in data migration projects including mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation analysis.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical and UI functionality (user flows, screen mock-ups, wireframes).
  • Strong understanding of CRM processes within a Capital Markets or Institutional Sales & Trading environment.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with standard BSA artifacts and techniques (process modeling, use cases, data flow diagrams, gap analysis, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills – able to clearly convey complex technical concepts to business and technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Salesforce FSC Consultant) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud/on-prem CRM environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, and schema builder.
  • Experience working with Capital Markets data (e.g., clients, accounts, trades, transactions).
