BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We're looking for a new Business Development Manager in our GTA location!
This is a hybrid role which will combine working from home with visiting client sites in the Greater Toronto Area, plus some in-office meetings. Compensation is a combination of a base salary + commissions + KPI bonus, as well as a car allowance and benefits package.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a member of the Premiere Suites National Sales Team, the Business Development Manager (BDM) in the GTA plays a critical role in driving the company’s growth and long-term success. The BDM is primarily responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities both within their region and on a national level. Building and nurturing strong relationships with new accounts is the primary focus, alongside strategically managing and expanding existing client partnerships.
This role is instrumental in translating Premiere Suites’ strategic goals into tangible results by opening new revenue channels, deepening market presence, and aligning client needs with our value proposition. Business Development Managers are key contributors to the momentum and success of the organization—positioned at the forefront of client engagement and revenue generation.
The Business Development Manager enhances the department and organization reputation
consistent with Premiere Suites’ vision, mission and core beliefs of services as well as building and supporting sustainable and productive relations with clients, guests & Premiere Suites’ stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solicit and secure new business for extended stay accommodation within a specified territory, as well as across Canada
- Generate leads and opportunities by identifying target accounts within a designated territory
- Aggressively pursue new business via telephone, email, personal sales calls, sales blitzes, presentations, and networking
- Build and maintain a strong sales cycle of leads by proactively identifying new opportunities and following up with existing leads.
- Track all prospecting activities, sales interactions, and progress through CRM.
- Service and maintain new business accounts by building and developing strong business relationships with key contact(s), together with the Sales Account Management team.
- Understand and partake in the delivery of the strategic direction of Premiere Suites.
- Conduct site inspections of properties within the territory with potential clients
- Negotiate rates and optimize revenue
- Prepare and tailor presentations for prospective clients
- Participate in industry events, associations, and tradeshows
- Achieve and/or exceed prospecting, personal calls, site visits goals
- Achieve and/or exceed occupancy and revenue goals
- Work closely as a team and assist other departments, if required
- Professional in appearance and represent Premiere Suites in such manner at all community and industry organizations and related events
- Travel will be required on occasion
- Other projects and duties, as required
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven success in achieving sales targets and goals
- Ability to prioritize and to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills including relationship building and problem solving
- Strong negotiation & influence skills
- Displays a professional, positive attitude and maintains enthusiasm.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to both detail and the “big picture”
- Flexible; ability to handle the changing hospitality & sales environment
- Ability to make decisions with timely follow-up
- Demonstrated creativity with a “can-do” attitude and a growth mindset
- Ability to with schedule meetings, travel, etc.
- Manage the current filing & database system
- Able to act without guidance.
- Professional discretion & confidentiality
- Flexibility to travel occasionally
- Motivated individual who works well both independently and within a team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years direct sales experience, preferably in the Hospitality and/or Real Estate and Short-Term Rental Industry
- Post-secondary education; Diploma or degree preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be available to work evenings, weekend and holidays when required
COMPENSATION:
- $55,000-$65,000 annually
- Plus uncapped commission and bonus
- Car allowance
- Benefits package (dental, extended health care, vision care)
- Strong Business Development Managers have total compensation packages exceeding $100,000
