Job Description:
- Lead and Manage Teams: Oversee and mentor software engineers and data engineers across multiple projects to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Drive Technical Delivery: Ensure the successful and timely delivery of products, platforms, and features. Guide teams in breaking down requirements into actionable technical tasks.
- Unblock & Empower: Act as a technical enabler by helping teams navigate architectural decisions, integrations, and performance concerns.
- Ensure Standards & Best Practices: Promote clean architecture, secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, and robust documentation across teams. Ensure adherence to internal engineering and data governance standards.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Architects, and QA to align delivery with business objectives and customer needs.
- Architectural Oversight: Provide hands-on technical direction for building multi-tiered, microservices-based applications and scalable, data-driven platforms.
- MLOps & Data Ops (Preferred): Guide the integration and deployment of machine learning models into production environments. Champion automation and monitoring in ML pipelines (bonus points if you have experience with platforms like MLflow, SageMaker, or Kubeflow).
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven background in designing and building multi-tiered applications, microservices, and REST APIs using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
- Solid experience with data engineering tools and architecture, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, distributed data processing (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity or hands-on experience in MLOps—including CI/CD for ML models, monitoring, and versioning.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical language for business stakeholders.
- Experience in leading agile development teams and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Bonus Points
- Experience in implementing or scaling MLOps infrastructure.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and compliance in data-sensitive environments.
- Background in retail, eCommerce, or consumer-focused tech.
