Business Development Representative – Logistics

Lock Search Group has partnered with a high-growth third-party logistics (3PL) provider to identify a dynamic Business Development Representative to join their Surrey-based team. This role is centered on proactive business generation, building pipelines, identifying untapped markets, and driving growth in a competitive logistics landscape.
This is a sales-driven, outbound-focused role where your primary mission is to hunt for new clients, expand service lanes, and capture opportunities across North America. If you're someone who thrives on cold calling, building relationships from the ground up, and being on the frontlines of revenue generation,this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
- Perform strategic cold calling daily to introduce services and uncover client needs.
- Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of potential accounts through multiple outreach methods (phone, email, digital tools, etc.).
- Collaborate with pricing, operations, and leadership to develop tailored freight solutions for new customers.
- Develop and execute territory-specific business development strategies.
- Provide consistent follow-up and relationship nurturing to convert leads into long-term clients.
- Retain and up-sell within existing accounts, ensuring continued satisfaction and growth.
- Deliver quotes and proposals based on shipment profiles, history, and pricing models.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, ensuring visibility of your pipeline and conversion metrics.
Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or other service-based industries.
- Track record of hunting and closing new business in a competitive environment.
- Strong cold calling and objection-handling abilities; unafraid of the outbound grind.
- Ability to communicate value clearly with decision-makers at all levels.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and digital prospecting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Results-oriented, highly motivated, and target-driven.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A positive, growth-minded attitude with a passion for business development.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- Understanding of freight tariffs, rating models, and shipping logistics is an asset.
