Position Overview:*****
The strategic and technically adept Director of Marketing Technology (MarTech) leads the strategy, roadmap and optimization of our marketing technology stack. This role works closely with our IT team to implement the MarTech roadmap capabilities, driving critical digital transformation, enhancing customer engagement, and delivering measurable marketing performance across all digital channels. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this individual displays a blend of marketing strategy, data-driven decision-making, hands-on technical expertise and collaborates effectively with both internal and external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute the MarTech roadmap aligned with marketing and business objectives.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage marketing platforms including CRM, CDP, CMS, analytics, automation, and personalization tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Sales, Product, Customer Care) to ensure seamless integration and data flow across systems.
- Champion data-driven marketing by enabling advanced segmentation, targeting, and attribution modeling.
- Stay ahead of MarTech trends and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, predictive analytics, customer journey orchestration).
- Pilot and scale new tools and capabilities that enhance marketing agility and personalization.
- Train and support marketing team members in effectively using MarTech tools and platforms.
- Develop documentation, best practices, and onboarding materials to ensure consistent and confident tool usage across the department.
- Act as a strategic partner to the marketing team, helping them leverage technology to improve campaign performance and customer engagement.
- Oversee marketing analytics and reporting to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Ensure data governance, privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in data usage.
- Manage and mentor the Senior Manager, Website Optimization to drive continuous improvement in site performance, UX, and conversion rates.
- Leverage A/B testing, heatmaps, and user behavior analytics to inform optimization strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience managing complex MarTech ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, Google Marketing Platform).
- Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, data integration, and digital analytics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
- Results orientation, proactive bias for action
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate a compelling vision supported by strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Strong presentation skills and a demonstrated ability in effective influencing and communications.
- Demonstrated ability to create a winning culture and in positively influencing the organization.
- Ability to balance the strategic requirements of the role with readiness to action day-to-day transactional requirements as needed.
