We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Burnaby team. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual with a background in geomatics or land surveying who excels at coordinating people, schedules, and deliverables. The Project Coordinator will support the successful delivery of projects by facilitating communication between teams, reviewing incoming data, and ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily workflows between field crews, CAD technicians, and project managers.
- Monitor project timelines and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure on-time delivery.
- Review incoming field data, field notes, and project files for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Conduct quality control checks on survey plans, legal documentation, and digital deliverables to ensure they meet project, regulatory, and client requirements.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of project deliverables, including legal plans, as-builts, reports, and digital files.
- Coordinate between field crews, CAD staff, and project managers to maintain workflow and project schedules.
- Track project milestones, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure timely delivery of all components.
- Maintain organized project records in accordance with company QA/QC procedures.
- Support project managers in meeting municipal and provincial survey standards and client expectations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying Technology, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a geomatics or land surveying office (preferred).
- Solid understanding of survey workflows, plan preparation, and field-to-office coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with field survey methods and data types (GNSS, total station, etc.).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or survey software is an asset, but not required as a core function.
- Experience supporting projects in the Lower Mainland is a plus.
