The City of Port Moody's Recreation department is looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide customer service and support for recreation programs on call as a regular, part-time Recreation Attendant.
The Recreation Attendant position will ensure the safety and enjoyment of our patrons who utilize our recreational facilities by supervising programs, assisting with customer service needs and inquiries, dealing with safety concerns and issues, and cash handling.
This is a 30 hour per week position, working 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday at the Recreation Complex.
Basic Qualifications

Grade 12 plus a minimum of one year of recent, job related experience supervising and instructing in a Recreation/Sport/Fitness environment

CPR and First Aid certification

Strong recreation instruction skills and the ability to sub in with little notice

Ability to ensure public safety for those who are participating in recreation programs

Physical ability to set up for programs and do minor cleaning

Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

Ability to problem solve and make decisions using sound judgment

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Supervisory experience
