Buffalo Trail Public Schools Division is excited to launch the first year of our Human Services Collegiate and is seeking an administrative assistant to support this initiative. This position will be based out of the Buffalo Trail Learning Hub in Vermilion, Alberta. This is a flexible part-time opportunity.
Position Details:
- Start Date: August 27, 2025
- End Date: June 25, 2026
- Location: Buffalo Trail Learning Hub (Vermilion Outreach School), Vermilion, Alberta
- Hours: 3 hrs/day Monday to Friday, following the school calendar
- Deadline: July 14, 2025
Key Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

Provide clerical and administrative support to teachers and the principal

Register students and maintain accurate data records, including high school CEU tracking
-
Create, edit, and manage school documents and forms using Google Workspace and other relevant platforms

Support asynchronous learning environments through Google Classroom organization and student tracking

Assist in the preparation of learning materials and digital content
-
Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community partners

Demonstrate technical proficiency in document design and digital workflow management
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Diploma/Certificate in Office Administration or Business Administration (preferred)
- Experience working with Google Suite, Canva, PowerSchool and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice
