Who you are

• We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our finance team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Minimum of 3 years related accounting or finance experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment. Big 4 and operating experience is a plus!
• Strong familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP) and experience with financial reporting
• Prior experience running payroll for the US or Canada is required
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What the job involves

• In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions
• This role will be responsible for helping run payroll in the US and Canada
• Performing various payroll functions, including payroll processing for our US and Canadian entities, and timecard audits
• Prepare and record journal entries including revenue, accruals, fixed assets, and allocation
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
• Assisting with the revenue recognition process, ensuring all revenue is recorded in compliance with GAAP (ASC 606) for our multiple product lines
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy
• Ask questions, be curious, and challenge old ways of thinking
