Overview of the Role
The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating transportation activities and ensuring the continuous improvement of procedures, processes and results.
Salary - $52,960 - $69,460

How you will make contributions that matter:

Scheduling routes - daily and weekly routes to ensure timely deliveries;
-
Carry out freight bookings, load tenders and truck assignments (weekly schedules & changes);
-
Audit, code and track freight invoices (Detention Charges, Rates, Backups, Corrections, etc);
-
Manage operational issue resolutions;
-
Maintain freight & 3PL trackers (truck assignments / outside warehousing master);
-
Act as a link between carriers and the various internal departments;
-
Ensure that transport operations are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures, food safety and health and safety;

Identify cost saving initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in transportation, logistics, business or equivalent experience;
- 2 years of experience in a similar position;
- As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada;
- Strong Interpersonal skills with internal and external customers;
- Able to manage several priorities within established timelines;
- Able to adapt to change in business needs;
- Comfortable working on projects in group settings;
- High level of motivation, initiative, organizational skills, detail orientated and integrity is essential;
- Good knowledge of MS Office, AS400 (Maestro), BI environment and/or SAP-TMS;
