The Opportunity

The Research Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Research team and will report to the Research Team Manager. This role will keep the team running efficiently, foster culture, and serve as the point person for team communication - internal and external.

Role Responsibilities

  • Administrative support to the research team
  • Schedule internal/external meetings
  • Coordinate with Institutional team to book client meetings
  • Maintain external relationships on behalf of the department
  • Expense processing and approvals for team members
  • SME for administrative tools (e.g. Robin desk booking platform, Melon travel platform, Office 365)
  • Organize events for team building and team offsites
  • Active participant of the Employee Engagement & Resource Team - this is a cross departmental team that works to align teams across Mawer, streamline firm wide process, improve operational efficiencies, and serve as culture ambassadors
  • Other administrative tasks as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative role; experience in investment or finance is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in O365 Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual with a warm, courteous, and enthusiastic demeanor
  • Exercises excellent professional judgement and maintains confidentiality at all time
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Adaptable and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Office Administration Diploma or Certificate is an asset
