About the role
Responsibilities: :
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen
- Assist with Menu development, standardization and execution
- Proper downsizing and labelling of all products
- Prepare various food items, ensuring the highest quality of food leaves the kitchen
- Adhere to Steam Whistle’s service standards and policies
- Adhere to Steam Whistle’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
You will be offered various shifts including weekends and evenings, approximately 30 - 40 hours per week (the restaurant closes at 10.00pm).
Experience and Qualifications:****:
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- 1-2 years of similar experience considered an asset
- Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
- Team player and collaborative
- Strong organization skills with a focus on detail
- Proven to perform well under pressure; manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Dedication to cooking and food preparation
- Food health and hygiene certificate
