Job Summary
The Office of the Registrar invites applicaitons for a temporary full-time Assistant, Transfer Credit.
Under the direction of the Manager, Admissions, the Assistant, Transfer Credit is primarily responsible for implementation and management of transfer credit articulation operations and processes which includes the support of procedures, management of transfer credit databases, evaluation of documents, and assignment of transfer credit.
Qualifications
- Completion of a two (2) year diploma or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Three (3) years of experience in an educational institution with a preference for at least one (1) year of experience with knowledge of admissions, official documents, and domestic and international transfer credit processes.
- Excellent knowledge of post-secondary education systems.
- Ability to analyze problems and determine appropriate solutions within a framework of specific policies and procedures.
- Ability to handle complex situations tactfully.
- Ability to recognize exceptions, and to take appropriate action to resolve problems.
- Advanced computer skills including experience with MS Office and a student information system (Banner preferred).
- Excellent organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience with inputting and manipulating complex data and handling detailed information with accuracy.
- Attention to detail, and aptitude to handle interruptions in a courteous manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong cross-cultural oral and written communication skills in English, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
