QinetiQ Target Systems Canada is seeking a Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of cutting-edge electronic systems for unmanned vehicle platforms. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of defense and aerospace technologies while mentoring the next generation of engineers.

️ What You’ll Do

Lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems, including PCBs and power boards.

Define and manage system requirements and specifications.

Review and approve schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.

Collaborate across engineering and operations teams to meet system and project goals.

Support field testing and operational deployment.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and cost estimation.

Ensure compliance with ISO standards, internal policies, and QinetiQ values.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

10+ years of experience in embedded electronics design and debugging.

Proficiency in tools like Altium and platforms such as PowerPC, STM32, and x86.

Familiarity with avionics, marine, or military systems is a plus.

Strong understanding of electronic schematics and system design.

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Experience with configuration management and test equipment (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).

Security & Safety

Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident.

Eligible for Canadian Class 2 Security Clearance.

This position involves work on the factory floor and participation in field testing, requiring a high level of situational awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
