Combined Metal Industries (CMI for short!) sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!
Job Summary
CMI is looking for a new employee to join our Maintenance Team. In this role you will repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks.

Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain various types of forklift trucks.
- Tests forklift trucks to ensure repairs are completed correctly
- Install, remove and/or repair attachments and accessories such as clamps, side shifters, push/pulls, lights and audible devices as required.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair batteries and chargers as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a forklift technician or auto mechanic
- Completion of forklift truck mechanics training course an asset.
- Ability to use hand and power tools to repair forklift trucks.
- Ability to read repair manuals for various types of forklift trucks.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time

We are located at Steeles & Weston Road in North York – a 15-20-minute bus ride from Pioneer Village Subway Station in North York and an 8 – 10-minute bus ride from Highway 407 Subway Station in Vaughan.
