We are looking for an individual to become a part of the HSE team who can perform occupational hygiene monitoring as well as support other areas of the HSE program throughout its Canadian operations. The successful candidate will work with a team of HSE professionals throughout western Canada to help CES Energy Solutions provide a safe and healthy work environment for its employees. The position will report to the Manager HSE Site Services - Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of the Occupational Hygiene annual work plan for workplace exposure monitoring.
- Conduct ad hoc workplace exposure monitoring as necessary.
- Maintain and calibrate OH monitoring equipment.
- Provide training on OH related topics, such as personal gas detection and hearing conservation.
- Support emergency response activities as necessary.
- Provide OH support for the HSE team and all Canadian facilities.
- Provide safety support for Canadian employees.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Manager – HSE Site Services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline.
- 2-5 years relevant Occupational/Industrial Hygiene or related work experience.
- Must either have or be willing to pursue professional designation as a Certified Associate Industrial Hygienist/Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be eligible to work permanently in Canada.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Above average skills in MS Office products.
Work Conditions:
- This position is based in the corporate office in Calgary.
- Regular travel (up to 25%) should be expected with periods of more intense travel.
- Field work will require outdoor work in a variety of conditions.
- Company truck will be provided.
