About The Position The Laboratory Assistant Workflow Operator will support the pulp storage function and work closely with the batching workflow team to assist the weighers in meeting daily output;
Specific Responsibilities
- Use Webview to locate, transport and update disposition of client samples by workorder or digestion run number;
- Retrieving and staging boxes on carts for weighers;
- Returning and scanning boxes into storage after weighing;
- Support weighing tasks as required;
- Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks;
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, high volume environment;
- Basic computer skills in using software run applications required;
- Good organizational skills;
- Quality and detail orientated individual;
- Able to work within a team environment;
- Basic English communication skills required (verbal and written)
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma preferred;
Physical Demands
- Able to lift 50 lbs;
- Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks;
- Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as dust masks, gloves etc., when required;
- Ability to sit/stand for a full shift (up to 7.5Hrs);
- Please note that ALS operates 24/7 and will require day, afternoon, and graveyard shift work including weekends;
