Job Description & Requirements

  • Please note: term of employment is as stated above OR return of incumbent.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:

  • A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
  • A strong academic background.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and differentiate instruction in the Grade 8 classroom.
  • Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum, and a strong background in language development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of inclusion of technology in learning processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Previous successful middle years teaching experience.
  • Experience in the philosophy of a multi-age classroom as it relates to curriculum planning and implementation, instructional diversity, and classroom learning environment.
