We’re hiring a Controller to join our leadership team!
💼 $100,000–$120,000/year + bonus | 📍 100% Onsite | Vancouver, BC
This is a great opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys leading a small team. The Controller will report directly to the Director of Finance and oversee all aspects of accounting and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small accounting team, overseeing the full accounting cycle (AR/AP, capital assets, journal entries, bank reconciliations), as well as payroll
- Maintain and improve financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes
- Deliver monthly financials in accordance with ASPE, including performance management, KPIs, and ad hoc analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Manage cash flow and forecasting
- Oversee risk management, procurement, and inventory
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits reporting
- Manage legal documentation including leases, contracts, and corporate agreements
- Coordinate year-end audit preparation and corporate tax filings
- Lead insurance renewals and relationships with external partners (banks, auditors, insurers, legal counsel)
- Take on other special projects and business analysis as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- CPA designation with ongoing professional development
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with industry experience
- Strong background in financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, budgeting, and cost analysis
- Hands-on experience with internal controls, risk management, and operational finance
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with MS Dynamics is an asset
