Executive-Level Impact. Administrative Excellence.
As an Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Chief Retail Operations Officer (CROO), ensuring seamless coordination, communication, and follow-through on key priorities. You will serve as a trusted partner, helping to keep the business moving by managing schedules, attending meetings on behalf of the executive, and driving internal alignment across teams. Led by the CROO, this opportunity will suit a highly organized, professional, and proactive individual who brings strong business awareness, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and ensure scheduling aligns with key business priorities.
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Chief Retail Operations Officer when needed, capturing key takeaways, tracking follow-ups, and helping maintain business continuity.
- Act as a liaison across internal teams, coordinating resources, gathering insights, and supporting cross-functional alignment.
- Prepare briefings, reports, presentations, and meeting materials – ensuring content is clear, accurate, and tailored to the audience.
- Manage all communication channels, including email and phone inquiries, with professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and support meetings and events, including planning logistics and ensuring all details are covered.
- Collaborate with other Executive Assistants and senior administrative partners to ensure seamless support across the leadership team.
- Provide general administrative support, with a focus on high-value tasks that help the executive stay focused and effective.
We’re looking for:
- College Diploma in Administration, Business, or a related field, with three to five years of experience supporting senior leaders.
- Strong internal knowledge of Home Hardware’s business, structure, and stakeholders - or the ability to quickly develop that understanding.
- Exceptional communication skills and professional presence, with the confidence to attend meetings, speak on behalf of the executive, and liaise across business units.
- A high degree of discretion, integrity, and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, manage shifting priorities, and take initiative without constant direction.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to create polished, visually engaging presentations and documents.
- Tech-savvy, with a strong aptitude for quickly learning new tools and systems to support executive productivity and digital workflows.
- A collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to work closely with other executive assistants and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
