Grade**:** SGEU.06.
The Strategic Operations Branch is seeking a motivated, energetic, and adaptable individual to coordinate the delivery of the Government of Saskatchewan’s Grants in Lieu (GIL) Program.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Serve as the primary contact for the GIL Program, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Evaluate tax assessments and notices for eligibility based on established policies, guidelines, and criteria.
- Apply mathematical skills to calculate grant payments and tax escalations accurately.
- Use strong organizational abilities to meet program deadlines and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Enter and maintain property tax data, approvals, and payments using databases and spreadsheets.
- Generate reports and retrieve data using spreadsheet tools.
- Audit and track financial data to ensure accuracy, adherence to budget limits, and alignment with financial records.
Strong communication skills are essential. You will:
- Consult with applicants to clarify program details and processes.
- Draft clear, professional correspondence related to program applications.
- Provide accurate verbal and written responses to inquiries.
Knowledge of property assessments, property taxation, leases and payment processes would be an asset. Candidates are asked to clearly describe in their resume or cover letter where they have gained the knowledge and abilities required for this position. Selections for interviews will be made on the basis of this information.
