About the role

We’re Hiring: Program Manager – Innovation & Growth (1 year contract)Location: Sechelt, Sunshine Coast, BC

Schedule: 1-Year Contract, Full-time (4–5 days/week, 1 day remote optional)

Start Date: As soon as the fit feels right

Company: Salish Soils

Help Us Grow – the Right WaySalish Soils is an Indigenous-owned composting and resource recovery facility based in Sechelt, BC. We take organics—food waste, yard trimmings, biosolids—and transform them into regenerative soil products that feed local gardens, farms, and ecosystems.

We're scaling up. That means more customers, more product lines, more complexity—and a need for someone who can help us move forward thoughtfully, safely, and effectively.

We’re looking for a Program Manager – Innovation & Growth to be the glue across our team. You’ll help plan, coordinate, and deliver key projects—from new product launches to facility redesigns. You’ll work across departments, keep timelines on track, and make sure we do things right: with care for quality, safety, customers, and the land.

The RoleYou’re not just a project manager—you’re a central hub, a builder of momentum, and a quiet driver of accountability.

You’ll help move cross-functional projects from idea to action. That might mean leading the launch of a new soil blend, coordinating signage and traffic redesign, or helping scope out what’s needed for a new product or service. You’ll run stand-ups, chase down blockers, track plans, and bring strategic thinking to daily execution.

You’ll Be Responsible For: ️ Planning & Coordination

  • Build clear project plans and keep them moving forward
  • Lead cross-functional check-ins, align departments, and chase next steps
  • Track deliverables, surface risks early, and support timely execution

Product & Service Development

  • Support the creation and rollout of new compost, mulch, or bagged soil products
  • Help coordinate testing, usability feedback, and packaging/launch logistics
  • Stay close to operations, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure a smooth go-to-market

Site Improvement & Redesign

  • Work with leadership and operations on site flow, signage, drop zones, and infrastructure improvements
  • Help map customer journeys and suggest practical upgrades
  • Support safe, efficient implementation of new services and site changes

Strategy Support & Business Thinking

  • Support cost models, pricing logic, and project ROI thinking
  • Maintain a live tracker of active projects and key priorities
  • Help the team focus—zooming in where needed and stepping back to keep the big picture in mind

You Might Be a Fit If You…• Have 3–7 years of experience in project coordination, program management, or product development

  • Are organized, proactive, and quietly relentless about getting things done
  • Love helping teams work together better—across operations, sales, marketing, and leadership
  • Are just as comfortable in a team meeting as you are out on site, clipboard in hand
  • Have a soft spot for soil, sustainability, and community-led work
  • Appreciate Indigenous values, local impact, and regenerative thinking

Bonus if You’ve Worked In: • Landscaping, composting, or soil production

  • Construction, facility development, or industrial site work
  • Circular economy, community infrastructure, food production or public services
  • Indigenous-led organizations or value-driven enterprises
