Based out of Blackfalds, Alberta, Bizi Transport Inc. is a specialized provider of transportation services in the Oil and Gas industry serving various provinces including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario since the Fall of 2012.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our expanding team!

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, employees, lease operators and 3rd party drivers to dispatch trucks to the appropriate jobs or projects throughout your shift
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
• Have working knowledge of Transport Canada and DOT regulations (Hours of Service, road bans, over dimensional loads)
• Coordinate equipment to fulfill customer requirements, pre-job planning and making judgement calls regarding equipment availability
• Utilize company software and programs to dispatch trucks ad update equipment status on internal systems
• Collaborate with customers, drivers and management to modifying things as the customer needs and/or based on equipment issues
• Handle multiple calls and methods of communication including email, text messaging and in person
• Must be able to consistently communicate instructions both verbally and electronically
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
• Training will be provided on internal systems
• Ability to be on call weekends and evenings as per the schedule
• Auditing work orders to ensure accurate data for invoicing
• Maintain communication with management and staff regarding equipment repairs, general maintenance and any employee related issues
• Trouble shoot field issues with drivers and maintenance staff as needed
• Able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
• Ensure that all drivers understand and procure the licenses and permits required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
• Minimum 1 year of dispatch experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• Experience working in a high demand, high stress, multiple priorities industry and completing work under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures and willingness to comply with company policies for privacy and confidentiality, applicable laws and regulations
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and exceptional multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
