Description Industrial Bus Driver Diversified Transportation is currently seeking dedicated and safety-minded Industrial Bus Drivers to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers job security, guaranteed hours, and multiple shift rotations (5 days on / 2 days off, 7 days on / 7 days off, 14 days on / 7 days off). Rotation schedules offered are based on business needs and availability.
Position Details
- Multiple shift rotations offered
- Competitive wages ($34.73/hour) with benefits
- 8 hours per day guaranteed (worked as an early AM report time, split shift)
- No accommodations provided so we’re looking for drivers who live locally or can arrange their own lodging
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Safe operation of both coach and industrial bus (white school bus)
- Deliver excellent customer service to passengers and clients
- Ensure compliance with Provincial Hours of Service/Logbooks and adhere to all Diversified Transportation’s policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Complete and submit daily DVCR’s and FLRA’s
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience operating motor coaches, school busses or other similar large vehicles
- Familiarity and good knowledge of Kitimat and the surrounding area considered an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to obtain clearance for:
- Driving Record Check (Abstract and Pre-Employment Check Ride)
- Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)
- Drug & Alcohol Test (D&A)
- Criminal Record Check
