About the role
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for providing consistent leadership and support in the financial area by supplying the accounting staff with guidance and training. He/she is also responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets.
Report to Head Office Management team and General Manager of the Hotel
Responsibilities:

Assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial statements for all aspect of the operation.

Monitor and advise hotel operations, cash flow, and operating forecasts for assigned

Under guidance of Corporate Office, maintain timely interaction with Hotel General Manager and Department Heads to assure that property operations are always on track and under control.

Assist to conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations with Head Office

Manage and communicate issues related to management of receivables, payables, daily cash balances, and timely deposits of all funds.

Monitor hotel revenues and expenses and ensure the accurate recording in accordance with Hotel’s established guidelines. Investigate and critique variances to budget/forecast or to prior year and offer practical improvement methodologies to management.

Analyze financial data and operations to achieve financial objectives.

Train and supervise corporate staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining.

Assist year end external audit and internal audit as needed.

Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum recent 2-years experience as an Accounting Manager within hotel industry or multi-entity environment is desirable. Preference will be given to persons holding some form of account degree

Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, and Sage 50 Accounting as well as knowledge of Payroll and the legislation in Saskatchewan

Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

OPERA experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
