Our Client

Humboldt Electric is anything but traditional. A leader in commercial and industrial electrical contracting across Saskatchewan and beyond, their work takes them everywhere from Yorkton to La Ronge to northern Manitoba. But it’s not just the projects that set them apart, it’s their people-first approach in an industry where that’s still rare.

Led by a CEO who knows every team member by name (and likely remembers your kid’s soccer schedule too), Humboldt Electric is rooted in community, family, and genuine care. Their leadership is approachable. Their culture is collaborative and grounded. And the energy in the building is electric, pun fully intended.

While other companies may focus solely on getting the job done, Humboldt Electric is equally committed to how the job gets done: with kindness, excellence, and a shared sense of purpose. This is a place where people stay (and thrive) because they feel seen, supported, and empowered.

The Opportunity

This is more than just an HR role. This is a chance to help shape the heart of Humboldt Electric, bringing incredible people through the doors and ensuring they’re supported every step of the way.

You’ll be the first smile new hires meet, the steady hand that guides them through orientation, and the culture champion who keeps the team connected, even across remote job sites. You’ll support apprenticeship growth, recruitment strategy, employee events, and everything in between.

It’s a dynamic role, and no two days are ever quite the same. But through it all, your impact will be clear: you’re the person who helps Humboldt’s team feel like family.

  • Administer Humboldt Electric’s apprenticeship program and support employee development.
  • Assist with performance management, reviews, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and internal policies.

4. Engagement & Communication

  • Organize employee events, recognition initiatives, and employee communications.
  • Respond to employee questions with empathy and clarity.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for both leadership and staff.
  • Contribute to safety and well-being initiatives through collaboration with site teams.

5. Strategy & Improvement

  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for process or policy improvement.
  • Contribute to future-focused HR initiatives and help shape the next phase of growth.
  • Jump in wherever needed, from system clean-up to career fair logistics, always with a team-first mindset.
