About Air Inuit Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivvik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

Position Overview We are seeking a Qualified “M” Technician on a contractual basis – Rotation

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform work on aircraft as outlined by applicable Inspection Instructions, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins or other approved schemes in accordance with accepted practices;
  • Ensure that all items of work are recorded and signed out as required on the applicable Maintenance Control forms;
  • Guide the apprentice engineers in their tasks and ensure that the approved methods and materials are used in performing the work on the aircraft;
  • Maintain in good order the AMO facilities, such as shop, store, library; and its surroundings.
  • Carry out any other assigned duties as directed by the Senior Base Engineer;

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid M1 and/or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license or minimum 3 years experience as an apprentice.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience on the following Aircraft Types: Dash 8 100/300, Beech King Air and DHC 6
  • Applicant must be able to work autonomously and have good organizational skills;

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Accommodations, meals, travel between Montreal and work location are provided
  • Positions available are primarily nightshift and are based on 3 week on/off rotations
