Assistant to Privacy Screen Director

CORE Landscape Products (https://shop.coregravel.ca/) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant to the Privacy Screen Director for our Courtenay location. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is organized, collaborative, and passionate about sustainability, design, and digital marketing.

CORE Landscape Products (est. 2010) is an award-winning, woman-owned, B Corp-certified landscape supply company that designs, manufactures, and distributes sustainable products throughout North America. Our Privacy Screen Division partners with local and Indigenous artists to transform original artwork into eco-friendly, low-waste panels made from recycled PVC, HDPE, and ocean-recovered plastics. We believe business can be a force for good, and our work blends environmental conservation with community-focused art and design.

You’re a thoughtful, self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and a creative mindset. Whether it’s writing product descriptions, organizing leads, or creating social media content, you bring initiative and care to every task. You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and passionate about sustainability, Indigenous art, and storytelling.

Your Responsibilities

Shopify Website Support

● Upload new artists, designs, and product collections

● Write and optimize product descriptions for SEO and environmental storytelling

HubSpot CRM & Client Communication

● Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly

● Track and follow up on custom privacy screen leads

● Keep digital records organized and up-to-date

Sales & Dealer Support

● Greet walk-in clients and assist with sales and product education

● Identify and reach out to potential screen dealers (especially those focused on green

building and cultural design)

Marketing & Social Media Support

● Assist in planning and scheduling posts (Pinterest & Instagram)

● Create branded graphics using Canva (or similar)

● Support storytelling around our artists and recycled materials

Administrative Support

● Organize order records and digital filing

● Assist with overall coordination of custom projects

Required Skills

Non-Negotiable (Core Competencies)

● Strong communication and organizational skills

● Detail-oriented and self-directed

● Comfortable using or learning Shopify, HubSpot, Canva

● Experience or interest in e-commerce, marketing, or sustainability

● Confident working with clients online, by phone, and in person

● Passionate about Indigenous collaboration and environmental impact

● Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment

Additional Information

Position Type: In-house, Part-Time Position (Courtenay, BC)

Wage: $23–$25/hour

Hours: 20–30 hours/week
