Position Summary Savaria is actively seeking a confident and proactive Architect/Builder Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role will involve establishing and nurturing relationships with architects, builders, and contractors to position Savaria products prominently in project planning and execution phases. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging professionally with architects and builders, enjoys on-site visits, and possesses a blend of bravery, intelligence, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively represent Savaria.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit and engage with architects to introduce and advocate Savaria's accessibility and mobility solutions, ensuring Savaria remains top-of-mind in their project designs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders and contractors through consistent communication, including lunch meetings and on-site visits, to drive business opportunities and secure contracts.
  • Confidently and proactively interact with architects and builders, demonstrating a strong understanding of Savaria’s product offerings and their applications in both residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities by staying informed on upcoming construction projects and trends within the architecture and building industries.
  • Represent Savaria professionally and competently at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Technical Support, to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Manage and track activities and leads systematically, providing timely updates and feedback to the Director of Sales.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Mindset, Skills & Education

  • Energetic, eager, tenacious!
  • Degree or diploma in Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Fresh graduates and seasoned professionals both encouraged to apply.
  • Comfort and confidence engaging professionally with architects, builders, and contractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of representing Savaria confidently in various settings.
  • Self-motivated, brave, and resourceful, with a demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Ontario regularly and occasionally to Calgary.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, managers, other stakeholders.
  • Should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
