Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experience providing clerical and administrative support in an office environment
  • Experience providing customer service to the public by phone, email and in person
  • Experience with interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies and/or procedures
  • Proficient in a computerized environment including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn custom software programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a multi-tasked team environment
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong English verbal communication skills
  • Strong English written communication skills
  • Strong French verbal communication skills
  • Strong French written communication skills

Duties:

The Tax Roll Maintenance Clerk is required to register accounts under the tax statutes and programs administered by the Taxation Division. The incumbent is also responsible for account maintenance, with a strong focus on data integrity. They will also be required to provide customer service to both internal and external clients (including business owners and their representatives) as required.
