Job Overview
We are seeking a warm, dependable, and trustworthy Personal Home Support Worker to assist a family with day-to-day household tasks and occasional toddler care. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, responsible, and enjoys working in a family-oriented environment. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Punjabi is required to effectively communicate with all family members.
Duties
- Assist with daily household chores such as tidying up, light cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Help with meal preparation and kitchen clean-up.
- Occasionally handle grocery shopping or running small errands.
- Provide responsible care and supervision for a toddler during short periods when the parents are unavailable.
- Offer a friendly and respectful presence in the home, supporting a calm and well-organized environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar support role or working with families or young children is preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
- Trustworthy and reliable, with a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and take initiative when needed.
- Basic cooking or meal prep skills are an asset.
- Must enjoy being around children and have a caring, patient nature.
- ECE would be an asset.
