About the role

Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant & Camp Support for the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Project at the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the summer camp. This position combines administrative responsibilities—such as managing records, communicating with parents, and supporting logistics—with active participation in the camp environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Camp Coordinator to assist with both behind-the-scenes coordination and direct camper engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with camper registration, attendance tracking, and maintaining accurate records
  • Greet and communicate with parents in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Support scheduling, organizing materials, and coordinating daily logistics
  • Help ensure activities start on time and that supplies are prepared in advance
  • Provide supervision and engage with campers during activities when needed
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and inclusive camp environment
  • Collaborate with team members and support the Camp Coordinator in administrative and program delivery tasks
  • Complete and file incident reports as required, and escalate concerns appropriately

  • Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection (International students are not eligible)
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation
