Financial & Statistical Analyst

(1.00 FTE – 37.50 HRS/WEEK)

LOCATION: FORT FRANCES, ONTARIO Salary range: $30.98-$35.92

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Development and Finance, the Financial & Statistical Analyst is responsible for financial & statistical duties within the organization. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in the financial operations of the organization, supporting budgeting, reporting, and compliance requirements. This position ensures accurate and timely financial processing and reporting, while also contributing to donor management, fundraising support, and housing program financial administration.

Essential Duties:

· Process accounts payable weekly in accordance with organizational policies.

· Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.

· Reconcile organizational accounts monthly, including vendor accounts, credit cards, and petty cash.

· Perform accounts receivable functions including billing, receipting, and tracking.

· Acts as a backup to the Payroll & Finance Clerk when required.

· Support ongoing financial projections and analysis to inform organizational decision-making.

· Prepares financial and statistical program budgets and liaises with program leads and our Director of Services.

· Assists in the development and writing of funding proposals and grant applications to support organizational initiatives.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

· Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports to Ontario Health and other funders.

· Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies.

· Interpret Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) expense guidelines and assist in OHRS data entry and quality initiatives.

· Maintain knowledge of HST rules applicable in the not-for-profit and community services sector.

Fundraising and Events

· Support fundraising activities, including donor stewardship and charitable reporting.

· Assist in event planning, advertising, and promotional efforts to support organizational goals.

Housing Program Support

· Process rental payments and manage landlord and tenant agreements.

· Track and reconcile Housing Program budgets and prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.

· Assist in the preparation of annual Housing Program budgets and financial reconciliations.

Administrative Support

· Provide administrative and receptionist support including clerical tasks, mail handling, and general office duties.

· Compile and distribute Board agendas and minutes in accordance with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

· A two-year degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Demonstrated relevant work experience in financial analysis or accounting is required.

· Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.

· Experience with SharePoint is an asset.

· Familiarity with OHRS guidelines and HST rules is an asset.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

· Ability to liaise with clients, family members, professionals and agencies of varying ideologies.

· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, agency prescribed auto insurance, valid first aid/CPR certificate.

· Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
