Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Shipper and Receiver performs receiving functions such as receiving of raw materials, and performs shipping functions such as staging and/or loading sales orders.
Available Shifts:
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Location:
- Vaughan ON
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform shipping functions, picking, staging and/or loading sales orders, including maintaining proper logs and verifying that complete orders can be shipped without damage while always ensuring the accuracy of the task performed; Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures
- Ensure HACCP process and procedures are followed when executed their duties; Operates equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; ensures that equipment is in working order, and oversees warehouse maintenance; Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standard; Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, a clean organized work area and promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Perform receiving functions, receiving of raw materials, store, stage and supply Production with received raw materials for line consumption, maintaining proper logs while ensuring at all times the accuracy of the task
Recipe for Success:
- Completion of High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
- Forklift Operator Certification an asset
- Effective stress management skills
- Experience with Microsoft excel
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Working knowledge of health & safety requirements
- Ability to quickly learn in-house systems
- Deadline oriented with an ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Basic knowledge of HACCP/GMP requirements
- Ability to work in a team, and/or under minimal supervision
