Position Overview The City of Kitchener is seeking temporary labourers to work as part of the Traffic team in the Operations-Roads and Traffic Division .
Responsibilities
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining existing and new traffic, parking, regulatory, and special signs within Kitchener.
- Painting all lines and pavement markings on City streets, as well as parking lot markings.
- Setting up construction, detour, information and related signage for road repair work and reconstruction projects.
- Maintaining all related equipment and materials.
- Performs o ther related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Valid MTO “G” class driver’s license in good standing and ability to provide Drivers Abstract at your own expense as a condition of employment.
- Ability to perform manual labour.
- Must be flexible to work varying shifts, & rotational duties, weekends and overtime as required.
- Good communication skills with an ability to keep accurate written records.
- A bility to participate as an effective team member
- R eliable with a good attitude and employment record.
