The Peace Region Family Resource Network (FRN) is expanding and we’re looking for someone amazing to join our passionate, community-focused team!

If you're a people person who thrives in both creative and organized environments, this dual role could be the perfect fit. This position combines Parent Education Programming with HUB Administration, offering the best of both worlds: planning fun, hands-on programs for children and families and being the friendly, welcoming face of our FRN Hub at the Baytex Energy Centre.

The FRN is a contract for service with the Government of Alberta – Children’s Services, that provides service to a large area – as far as Manning and Clearhills County.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan and deliver engaging programs and events for children and youth (ages 0–18)
  • Develop and maintain a welcoming, interactive play space for young children (ages 0–6)
  • Co-facilitate parenting courses, offer tip sheets, and conduct developmental screenings
  • Collaborate with families and partner agencies to support healthy child development
  • Greet and orient new families visiting the Hub
  • Answer phones, register families for programs, and connect them with community supports
  • Manage FRN social media pages and communications
  • Design fun and informative brochures, posters, calendars, and activity guides
  • Keep our brochure wall and library organized and up to date
  • Travel occasionally across the region for program delivery
  • Work some evenings and weekends (adjusted hours)
  • Represent the Town and FRN in a positive, professional way

What You Bring:

  • Training or experience in Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Programming, Social Work, or a related field
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, and family support services
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • A friendly, approachable attitude and passion for helping families thrive
  • Confidence using social media and basic computer programs
  • Creativity and energy to plan awesome programs and events

What You Need:

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance (travel is required)
  • Clear RCMP Vulnerable Sector and Intervention Record checks
  • Standard First Aid/CPR certification
  • Willingness to work in all kinds of conditions (sometimes outdoors or in physically active settings)
  • Ability to lift supplies, move small furniture, and stay on the go
  • A working cell phone, or we can provide one!
  • Recommended: up-to-date immunizations and TB test

Wage:

$24.00 – $26.00 per hour

Hours:

Max 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Evenings and weekends may be required
