About the role

Are you looking to join a long standing and highly regarded law firm in Barrie in a law clerk position in the areas of family law and estate litigation?

The ideal candidate is confident taking carriage of files, is an excellent written and oral advocate, manages their time and client expectations, exemplifies civility, and has a sense of humour. Our firm culture is built on mentoring and collegiality.

Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a law clerk, including specific experience in the following:

· drafting legal documents including applications, motions, court forms

· document organization

· having an excellent understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Family Law Rules

· client interaction

The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks based on urgency and deadlines.
