The Role:
🌟 Position: Events & Communications Manager (Volunteer Role)
🌟 When: Minimum commitment from your start date through September 2025. Flexible Hours: 2-4 hours per week.
🌟 Location: Montreal (Remote-Friendly), Co-Working & Office Meet-Ups (Optional)
What You’ll Be Doing:
🎤 Lead and inspire our communications team, ensuring smooth coordination and epic storytelling!
📢 Develop and execute strategic festival communications, including partnerships, press relations, and outreach.
🎬 Work closely with event organizers to bring MTLIFF’s vision to life through seamless event communications.
🤝 Join conversations with partners and sponsors, keeping relationships strong and aligned with our mission.
📰 Manage press relations, coordinate interviews, and handle media inquiries with confidence.
📲 Collaborate with marketing managers to create engaging content for social media.
🙌 Work closely with volunteers and stakeholders to ensure seamless, stress-free on-site event operations.
What We Need From You:
✅ Experience in communications, PR, or event management (film industry background is a plus!).
✅ Strong leadership and organizational skills, you're the glue that keeps things together!
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication in English (French is a big plus!).
✅Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain partnerships.
✅ Ability to multitask, adapt, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
✅ Passion for film, culture, and making an impact through storytelling!
