This is a Full-Time Permanent Position - we are looking for year-round staff. This is not a summer job.

Position Overview

As a team member, you will:

• Deliver interactive animal presentations in classrooms, camps, after-school programs, parties, and events.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
• Inspire and educate children about animals through hands-on learning experiences.
• Assist in various aspects of our programs, including pet therapy visits and school presentations.
• Receive full training in animal care and handling.
• Present to groups of children with confidence, enthusiasm, and creativity.
• Must have a valid Class G driver's license and a reliable car for work-related travel (car allowance provided).

What We’re Looking For

• A strong love for animals and children.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
• The ability to confidently engage with large groups.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• A proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving mindset.
• The ability to work independently and manage stress effectively.
• A strong command of English (French is an asset but not required).
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work at either of our Toronto locations – midtown or Beaches site
• Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum three years of experience working with children.
• Working towards or completed a diploma/degree in an animal- or child-related field.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Successful completion of a vulnerable sector background check.
