ONE Transport Group has immediate openings for a part-time freight sorter, five days a week, Monday through Friday. Enjoy the convenience of an early morning shift, starting at 06:00 am and finishing around 9:00 am allowing you to have the rest of the day.
Summary
As a Freight Sorter, you will be a vital part of our team, utilizing your organizational skills to sort and distribute incoming freight efficiently. Your proficiency in English will ensure clear communication with team members and supervisors. Join us in this fast-paced environment where your skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics processes.
Responsibilities
- Sort and organize incoming freight shipments based on destination and type of merchandise.
- Use organizational skills to ensure efficient and accurate sorting process.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Utilize pallet jack/dolly or other equipment to move and stack freight as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the sorting area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Assist with customer inquiries and provide excellent service when needed.
Requirement for the role:

Able to lift 75 lbs.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
-
Comfortable working inside container trailers, delivery trucks, and similar places or types of equipment in all weather conditions.

Steel or composite toe safety boots/shoes are a must.

Must be bondable
-
Command of English as a language.

The ability to read labels accurately is needed.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with postal codes, routing charts, and maps

Strong communication skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Previous experience in a similar role is a plus

The warehouse location is 6609 63St Close Lloydminster Alberta. The right candidate will be able to reliably commute to this location.
