About the Role:

BITCAP INC. is hiring a full-time Junior Full-Stack Developer to join our internal development team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building high-performance internal software for technical and scientific use cases. You’ll be working in a hybrid model from Calgary, collaborating closely with senior developers.

Required Skills:

• JavaScript (ES6+)
• TypeScript
• React or another modern component-based frontend framework
• Canvas or WebGL rendering
• Node.js
• MongoDB (including experience with cloud-hosted setups)
• Modular state management (e.g., Zustand, Redux, Context API)
• Responsive UI design and performance optimization
• Git, and modern tooling like Vite, Webpack, ESLint, Prettier
• Ability to read and understand C++/Qt code

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Qt (e.g., QPainter, QGraphicsView)
• Real-time data rendering (e.g., WebSockets, live plotting)
• Experience with scientific or engineering UIs (e.g., logs, curves, striplogs)
• Understanding of geological logs or wellbore data
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts
• Testing frameworks like Jest or Vitest

• Located in Calgary, Alberta (hybrid work required)
• A self-starter and quick learner
• Detail-oriented and eager to work in complex technical domains
• Comfortable working both independently and in a small, fast-moving team

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
