Driving Personalized Engagement
As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will execute and optimize email and SMS campaigns that drive customer engagement, conversion, and retention. Led by Manager, Email Marketing, this opportunity will best suit someone who is an expert in email and SMS marketing with exceptional quality assurance skills.
Ready to make an impact? Here’s how:
- Develop and execute an integrated email and SMS calendar, balancing national campaigns, personalized journeys, and business priorities. Align with cross-functional teams to ensure timing, content, and segmentation support engagement and promotional goals.
- Manage end-to-end email execution, including content, segmentation, testing, approvals, and deployment. Lead A/B and multivariate testing to optimize performance and use insights to refine future campaigns.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with strategic and agency partners, ensuring alignment and execution in support of the CRM marketing program.
- Create dynamic, personalized content driven by behaviour, preferences, and lifecycle stage. Apply contextual tactics such as weather triggers and gamification to boost relevance and engagement. Utilize CDP data to build targeted lists and refine strategies based on performance.
- Develop unique, store-based experiences by customizing email content, promotions, and product offerings based on store attributes such as location, banners and services available at each location.
- Analyze email campaign performance using metrics like open rates, click-throughs, conversions, and ROI. Produce regular reports highlighting insights and trends to guide strategy improvements. Use cohort analysis to evaluate segment-specific results and the long-term impact of personalized campaigns.
- Grow and maintain a compliant, high-quality subscriber base through targeted opt-in programs, ensuring compliance with consent and privacy requirements.
- Act as the email and SMS subject matter expert (SME), staying current on trends, tools, and best practices. Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and performance improvement.
- Oversee the Email Builder Tool and drive adoption through engagement and list growth initiatives at the store level.
We’re looking for:
- Degree in Business or Marketing, with 3-5 years of experience in email and SMS marketing, including campaign management, advanced personalization, dynamic content, gamification and A/B testing.
- Strong QA skills to ensure flawless execution across devices, browsers, and mail clients, adhering to email accessibility and mobile best practices.
- Skilled in customer segmentation and targeting using behavioural, lifecycle, and contextual data (e.g. location, weather), specifically in retail.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven ability to deliver high-performing, data-driven campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.
- Experience with email platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Insights – Journeys, and personalization software such as Movable Ink.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, PowerBI) and Customer Data Platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Insights – Data.
- Strong understanding of email compliance regulations, including CASL and PIPEDA.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and collaborate across teams.
- Clear communicator with a results-focused mindset and the ability to troubleshoot issues and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
