Job Summary
Smugglers is looking for a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to lead our team in achieving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and motivate staff effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to training development, time management, and team management, ensuring that all team members are equipped to meet their goals while adhering to company standards.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of front of house staff.
- Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation are maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Assist in training new front of house employees.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support management in implementing promotional activities to enhance customer experience.
- Opening and closing responsibilites including securing the premises, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring all rooms are properly set for the next service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Experience in bartending is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
